In the course of the Symposium the participants
had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with
the teaching methods of the Graphic Design
Department at the Warsaw Academy of Fine
Arts. The discussion which followed the reports
was introduced and summed up by professor
Dr JULIUSZ STARZYNSKI at the University of
Warsaw, member of the Polish Academy of Scien
ces.
The Symposium Chairmen were:

University of Warsaw, director of the National
Museum in Warsaw, and member of the Polish
Academy of Sciences, Professor ERBERTO CAR-
BONI, architect of Milan, OREST G. WIEREJSKY,
graphic artist of Moscow, and Dr BARTFfOLD
BEILER, professor at the Hochschule fiir Grafik
und Buchhold of Leipzig.
